Wrapping Up First Grade

School is officially out (at last!) and Lindsay has 1st grade in her rear view mirror. What a fun year it has been! Here are a few pictures of the fun she's had...
Lindsay 7 years
The first grade at Ben Franklin Elementary put on a "Vocabulary Museum" where students were to chose an unknow word and to make a 3-D model of it out of shoe box. Then they invited all the parents to the "museum" to learn about their vocabulary words. I wasn't sure what to expect until I got there. LOL.
Linsday's word: Eagerly
Lindsay did the scene in her shoe box to describe "Eagerly" as a family on their way to Great Wolf Lodge. The caption bubble says, "How much longer? I am eagerly waiting!". LOL.

Ben Franklin has a fantastic garden where the kids plant veggies every year. In the fall they 'harvest' their veggies, and in the spring they plant new ones for the incoming 1st graders. Lindsay LOVED the gardening.
Digging up potatos

Cleaning up the garden

Yay! We dug up potatoes!
Here's what they harvested....

Lindsay told me that they made fried potatoes and ate them! So much fun!
Here she is playing a game at Field Day...

Sack Races!
The coolest thing that her class did was take monthly walks down to the stream that runs behind the school called, "Turtle Back Pond".
They wore water shoes and waded in the stream to collect samples and look at ecosystems.
They looked at the things they found under microscopes and made observations. Lindsay really enjoyed this part of 1st grade, and tells me she wants to be a scientist when she grows up!

Way to go Lindsay on completing 1st grade!! What a fun year, we are so proud of you and all you have accomplished. We are looking forward to many more fun grades ahead!! Love you!

Dance Recital 2017

Lindsay and Madison had their dance recitial on Saturday, June 3rd, the day after Maddie's preschool graduation. All year long the girls have enjoyed taking Jazz/Ballet (Lindsay) and Ballet (Madison) once a week through a local dance studio. Mama enjoyed that they took it together at the same day/time. LOL. They have been working hard practicing their routines, and take dancing very seriously ;) After the recital, I gathered from the stories I heard, hanging out backstage was almost as fun and dancing!
Madison 5 years, Lindsay 7 years
Madison performed her dance to the song, "Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog" and her costume was a frog. She was THE MOST adorable froggie ever!!!
Ribbit!

Here is a pic of one of Madison's besties from Bible Study, Samantha... love those sweet friends!

Lindsay performed two times in the show, once for Jazz and another time for Ballet. Her costume was really cool in that it had shorts for the jazz number and a tutu for the ballet number to make the leotard work for both dances.

Lindsay, our social butterfly, saw friends from school at the show...

Great Job Girls!! I am so proud of your hard work and dedication all year long. You are both talented dancers, and had so much fun, which is the most important part!

Madison's Preschool Graduation

Madison Grace graduated from Preschool at Saint Ann School on Friday, June 2nd while we cheered her on! Here are a few pictures and videos of her big day...
Madison Grace, 5 years
Our ever-opinionated ray of sunshine chose her yellow dress to wear to graduation, and matching sandals ;)

Everyone had to get their turn taking a picture with the big graduate...
Maddie & Andrew (20 months)
Maddie wanted to choose what Andrew would wear... she wanted his polo to match her dress. LOL. She is such a girl!
Maddie also chose Mama's dress too... she has such good taste ;)
Here is her class on stage... They were wearing the cutest little graduation 'hats'.

"Days of the Week Song"

She was very serious about singing her songs, and we could hear her practicing them all week. Her favorite was on Thursday's when she would get to sing in Spanish.

"God Made Me Song"

Getting her "diploma"... and shaking the principal's hand.
Mrs. Juliano was Madison's preschool teacher (and Lulu's too) and she did a fantastic job!

Memorial Day Weekend 2017

We had a relaxing Memorial Day Weekend... we saw a parade, had a BBQ and just enjoyed the lovely sunny day in our amazing USA.
The kids and I walked to our neighborhood parade.

Andrew was pretty excited about the police car.
Fire trucks! Ambulances! Police Cars! Oh my... he was in heaven.

We played in the backyard while Daddy smoked some ribs... Yum Yum!

Ate hot dogs and chips n' dip...

Chip and Dip Monster
The girls had fun doing some Legos...
and we ate the most amazing BBQ ribs, potato salad and watermelon!! Thank you to all those in the military who've served and given their lives so we might enjoy the freedoms we have today!

Busy Boy Drew

Our boy's been REALLY busy this month...
Hmmm. This place at the top of the stairs looks like the perfect spot to hang out.
Andrew is thinking "I know! Me and Sissy can make a road! We can even use all the toys in the toy box!"
it continues...
I don't hold Andrew solely responsible for this one. He had help. LOL.
Tah Duh!! It's this so cool Mom?! (Mom sighs and says, "Oh Yeah! I love it!! But you get to clean it up!")
And of course, when it is QUIET... Look out for this climber. And snooper ;)
Oh hey Mom! Just reminding you to baby-proof EVERYTHING. LOL
Mmm Chocolate Cookies! Nom Nom Nom
Oh BOY! This boy keeps Mama on her toes! But busy boys need their zzzzz...

Love you our Andy Boo!! xo
