Disneyland 2015

The day after Jarrett graduated, we surprised the girls and Grammie took our family to Disneyland! Lindsay has been once before when she was about 18 months, and Madison has been in my belly ;) This was Madison's first official visit, and she was beyond excited. We stayed the night at the Disneyland Hotel, visited both Disneyland and California Adventure and had a fun character breakfast! Here are some fun pics of our stay...
Daddy & Madison at the Ariel Carousel in CA Adventure

Maddie Grace loved it...Pure Joy!!

The girls and J took a dip in the pool/spa at the hotel... the water was warm!!
I don't know who was more excited for the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, Grammie or the girls?! I had never heard of it until Grammie explained it was a salon at the park where they make the girls into princesses for the day with a fancy hairdo, nail polish and make up!

Madison wasn't too sure about it at first...

I.will.not.smile.

Lindsay on the other hand LOVED it!

Princess Lindsay!
After they were all decked out, Madison decided she liked it ;) Although, she was just fine with her princess sash and opted not to wear a princess dress. LOL.

Thank you Grammie!!
They had a photo session where they got to sit in a real Cinderella carriage... so cool!!
After our princesses were done at the salon, we headed over to the Submarine Ride. They were on the hunt for mermaids, but didn't find any until we visited CA Adventure later in the day. We enjoyed riding It's a Small World and the Monorail back to the hotel for some much needed power nap to get through the rest of the day.

All rested up we visited California Adventure and the girls were so excited to ride the The Little Mermaid with Grammie.
As it was getting dark the girls rode Dumbo and the Tea Cups!

Our resident daredevil, Madison, talked Grammie into riding the LadyBug spinner ride with her. We were giggling at how she kept yelling to Grammie, "Let's go faster!!" So Maddie Grace. LOL.
Jarrett the girls and Grammie rode the teacups and it was lit up so pretty in the evening...

"Spin faster Daddy!"
We made it back to the park in time to see the firework show from the comfort of our hotel room. I didn't get any pictures of the actual show, but above our beds in the hotel room there was a cool LED display that played music and had 'fireworks'! We had our own firework show about 10 times!
The next morning we woke up early and had a yummy breakfast at Goofy's Cafe. The girls were thrilled to see the characters walking around and stopping by the tables to shake hands and give hugs or high fives.
Lindsay, Chip(?) and Madison.

Madison thought Goofy actually made her breakfast...LOL.

What a fun trip!! Thank you Grammie, I know the girls will remember (and talk about for a long time) the special memories we made at Disneyland! We'll have to do it again in a few years when  the next round of Grand kids are old enough LOL. Love you!!

Jarrett's Doctoral Graduation

Keepin' it classy with the shades!
Whoo Hoo! Graduation time finally arrived it was a gorgeous day overlooking the Pacific Ocean at our old home-sweet-home, Pepperdine! It was a blast hanging out with the extended family as we celebrated Jarrett's huge accomplishment.
It was a warm and bright day, and these cousins had a blast entertaining each other during the ceremony.

There it is!! The "book" as we fondly have been referring to it.. 200+ pages of  APA formatted goodness.

Girls were yelling, "Hi Daddy! That's my Daddy up there!"

Waiting for his turn to be hooded...
The shots I got of the actual hooding process were blocked, but heard later that President Benton remembered working with him a few years back and gave Jarrett a big hug and said "Welcome Back, Congratulations Dr. Fisher!"

The girls made a beeline straight for their Daddy after the ceremony, and we got pictures with the family who have encouraged and cheered him along through this journey.

To the Dr....
Wow! I can't believe it's finally done. I am in awe of the YEARS of dedication, endless requirements and hurdles you went through to achieve the goal of becoming Dr. Fisher. Your humble character, attention to detail and integrity are traits I deeply respect, and shine through in your writing and work. Thank you for working so hard for our family and our futures! As your wife, prayer warrior and best friend it has been an honor to walk with you through the highs and lows of this journey. My own faith has grown stronger year by year as I've witnessed countless prayers answered and doors opened in ways only our mighty God can do. I am so, so proud of you and can only imagine the ways you will use your many gifts to bring glory to our King. I love you always, K xo

Mother's Day 2015

What a fantastic Mother's Day! This year was different from the past couple years in that A) I wasn't running a race and B) Was expecting another little person to make me a mother of 3?! I woke up to snuggles and a big, "Happy Mother's Day Mama!" from my little ladies. The went downstairs with Daddy and told me I must stay upstairs until they were finished with their surprise....
A treasure hunt!! As I walked down the stairs I saw envelopes stuffed with surprises! The first one said, "When Mommy doesn't feel like cooking" and it had a yummy gift card to order pizza!

Another one said, "When Mommy needs a new dress!" and it had a gift card to Old Navy!
Lindsay helped me open another one, "When Mommy needs something sparkly!" it was a gift card to Charming Charlies!
The last one said, "When Mommy has a craving.." and it was a gift card to Chipotle...YUM! What a sweet and thoughtful gifts, I will definitely be putting them to good use!
By far my favorite gift of all was a handmade gift from Lindsay that she made a preschool. She brought it home on Thursday after school and had to wait three LONG days before watching me open it. She was so patient, and proud of her hard work: a hand painted bag and card! Yep, I totally cried when I opened it up and saw her careful handwriting, the colors she chose (she explained they were my favorite colors) and the mis-spellings made it all the more precious to this Mama's heart ;)
After a yummy lunch at Red Robin (I have been dying for those fries and a big hunkin' burger..LOL) we skyped later in the day with Nonna, Grammie and Auntie to wish them Happy Mother's Day. Thank you family for a wonderful day, I felt so special and am positive I have the best job of all... Lindsay & Madison's Mama!! xo

It's a...

BABY BOY!!

Look at that spine...amazing!
Sweet hand waving, "Hi Daddy!"

I am no ultrasound expert, but doesn't it look like he is giving us a thumbs up?! LOL.
We are shocked and thrilled to be adding a little blue to our family in the fall! When the tech told us, I just couldn't stop giggling. Apparently, everyone in our family thought it was a boy except Madison and I....LOL. Madison wasn't too disappointed, and told me later, "My Baby Brudda is going to LOVE me!" Madison and Lindsay have told anyone they meet, "Hey, we're going to have a Baby Brother!" Both girls are so loving and affectionate with the belly and like to "tickle" baby brother in my tummy or whisper sweet things. Hopefully he will be use to the noise when he gets here!  Jarrett told me he'd better start reading up on sport rules...he's a bit rusty ;) Here's to new adventures with our boy!

It's finally warming up around here...

Let's bust out the water table!!! The girls have been asking to do the water table all winter, and it was finally warm enough to use it this week! I don't think the mosquito's have gotten the memo that it's warming up yet, so we are taking every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors this spring! A couple of days ago it was in the 80's, and while I watered the yard the girls had fun putting their bathing suits on and playing in the backyard.
Our bathing beauties ;)
I don't know if it was the bright sunlight or just me getting sentimental, but oh my, have my babies grown this winter?!? They are looking so grown up to me, and every now and then I get a glimpse of their round cheek baby-faces when they smile.
Look at those lashes!

Lindsay looks so grown up here... Beautiful Girl!
After they filled up the water table, I had to warn them this year they were getting way to big to climb in it. We got some squirt guns at the dollar store and they had a blast using them!

Target practice on our giant tree...

Madison "watered" all the plants for me.
They had fun pretending to be Firemen and using the water to put out the imaginary fire in the playhouse.

And this little stinker thought it would be funny to squirt Mama. LOL.

We are so looking forward to Summer and more sunny play days!!
