Angel Girls

Our church, Stone Hill Church of Princeton puts on a wonderful Children's Nativity Play each year, and this year Lindsay expressed an interest in playing a part. The third grade Sunday school class gets first pick because their teacher (Mr. Fred...see man below) teaches it along with his wife ;) Lindsay chose to be an angel this year...

Not to be out shone by her big sister, Madison decided she wanted to be in the production as well... as either a sheep or a singing angel. She ended up choosing to be a singing angel ;)

Christmas Fun

Here were some fun Christmas things we did in the month of December...
Handsome Boy before his CBS Christmas singing concert.
Andrew age 3
Lindsay had her 3rd grade concert for the school kids and she wanted to wear pearls... such my girl ;)
Lindsay age 8

Madison Grace age 6
She was hammin' it up in front of the camera
Princeton won the league title in football this year and they always have a huge bonfire...
I've got my loves to keep me warm...
It was pretty chilly that night, but we enjoyed hot cocoa from Bent Spoon and visited with Jarrett's coworkers while we watched the fire.
My CBS leaders council group had a yummy brunch... so blessed by these sweet ladies every week ;)
We attended Lindsay's 3rd Grade concert with Grammie and had a lovely dinner at PF Changs to celebrate..yum!
The girls wanted a playdate before we went on break and they were away from their friends for two weeks, and wanted to have a Cookie Decorating Party...
Cookie decorating.."aka eat as many sprinkles as humanly possible"
They also made Christmas ornaments...

Madison and her cute girlfriends
There was a Santa sighting on Royal Oak Road...

The kids had fun waiting for Santa with our neighbor Mikey.

So much Christmas FUN!!

Cookie Exchange 2018

At the beginning of December I throw a Cookie Exchange for our friends and neighbors to kick off the Christmas season....
This year's cookies I chose were Coconut Pecan Macaroons and Chocolate Cherry Cookies... both were GF.
I did a gold, silver and white table setting and had guest bring home made or store bought cookies (some friends are not bakers, but wanted them to join in the fun).
I served lots of festive appetizers and had a hot cocoa bar, plus a champagne cocktail with Pear and Sage. We went through the bubbly pretty fast this year... LOL.

So blessed by these sweet ladies friendship. Such a fun night to get us in the Christmas Spirit!

Please Touch Museum 2018

On a blustery fall Saturday we took Andrew to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia...
Thomas the Train exhibit
The girls have been a few times, but this was Drew's very first visit and he had a blast!
Lindsay and Madison were good sports for Andrew, and played with him as he moved from room to room.

Vroom Vroom!
Giant train table, oh yeah!
Our little Bob Builder had fun moving faux bricks from a wheel barrow to the back of a dump truck...
All the kids had a blast at the pretend store.. They took turns being the checker, shopper and bagger.
Madison was making some pretend gluten free pizza...

There was a deli counter and the girls had fun playing restaurant and taking sandwich orders...
Water time!

Andrew had the MOST fun, but the girls had fun despite feeling like they were "too old" for this type of museum. LOL.

Madison's Kid of Character Award

Last month I got a call from the school guidance counselor who told me that Madison was chosen to receive a "Kid of Character Award" for the month of October. Our school district chooses to recognize and award character traits instead of academic merit, and we were thrilled to be able to attend and see her be honored for "Respect"!
Madison's teacher, Mrs. Seipp, giving her the official super hero cape...
When they called her name, she was so surprised! Her little friends were giving her high five's the whole was on stage.

Hooray for Madison!!
Kid of Character for October

Madison's teacher told us she was chosen for showing respect not just to the teachers and principal, but toward her other classmates. Way to go Maddie!! We love you and are so proud of you!

Ben Franklin Fall Fest

Happy Fall Fest! We went to the Ben Franklin Fall Fest in October with Grammie, and had a blast...
Mum's the Word: Lulu soaking up fall
This year it was rainy so they had the festivities in the gym, but the petting zoo stayed outside ;)
Pony rides?! You know who was all about the ponies...
She came prepared wearing her riding boots...LOL

Lindsay and Andrew got their faces painted...
After Lindsay got her face painted, Drew decided he wanted to also!
 Andrew said, "It tickles me!!"
Looking pretty happy with his Batman mask...
Lindsay opted for a unicorn ears and horn with lots of sparkle!
They had a police car there this year, and Andrew had a blast climbing inside and talking to the policeman..
Let's hope this is the first and only time he is in the back of a police car.

Fun Fall times with the family!!
