This is a little early Father's Day posting... dedicated to Lindsay's wonderful Daddy. They have such a special relationship, one that makes me laugh and cry happy tears of joy. Lindsay pretty much adores her Daddy, and whenever he walks into a room lights up. He always has a silly song, a tickle and a kiss waiting for her. He is the best rough-and-tumble playmate, flying her through the air and tickling her feet, and yet, a minute later will read her a story softly and hold her close and give a snuggle. Let me tell you about his patience.... he will read the same story over and over again, or sit with her while she eats the very last pea on her plate (she is a slow eater like him). What a sweet man I married. Boy, I always knew he was going to be an amazing father, but Dear, you blow me away every Father's Day that passes. I couldn't imagine a better Daddy for my child... you are simply the best! Love you!

Fairy Wings
My sweet friend Jolene Roberts got the CUTEST little dress-up fairy wings, necklace and toy for Lindsay's birthday. We had planned on seeing each other for the longest time, but things just kept coming up: sick babies, long drives, weather etc... we gave up after 3 months and got the gift in the mail the other day. Lindsay absolutely loved them! Jo has a daughter, Faith, who is 2 yrs. and knows just the right kind of gifts for little ladies. I decided to practice with my camera and get some shots of my super cute girl! Thank you Miss Jolene and Princess Faith for the sweet gift!

Bunny Chair
Jarrett had a great idea for a 1st birthday present for Lindsay: A bunny chair! When Lindsay was born, Jarrett got her the matching stuffed bunny, and he remembered the chair all the way back when he was shopping over a year ago! When we ordered it in January, it was back ordered until May, so here are a few pictures of its arrival:

Fifteen Months
Wow! It's been awhile since I've posted a stats update for Lindsay. So far, one is a great age. She is so much fun, and her little personality is just blossoming.
*Lindsay's hair has been growing...I can put a clip in it, and sometimes she will even leave it in for more than 5 minutes.
*Teeth.....Whoa! My child has 8 teeth: Top 4, Bottom 3, plus 1 1/2 molars, and she is working on 3 more! It went from 0 to 4 pretty quick.
*She is sleeping 11 hours, from 7:30 pm to 6:30-7:00 am.... all night! Whoo Hoo! She is still taking 2, 1 1/2 hour naps per day.
*Big eater... Lindsay has always enjoyed eating, but she really wasn't all that excited about it. Lately, she has been eating a TON, and liking just about everything, with the exception of eggs and pancakes. These are some of her favorite meals: Grilled Turkey & Cheese Sandwich, Tiny Ravioli's with Tomato Sauce, Potato Casserole, Green Beans, Bean & Cheese Quesadillas, Mac & Cheese, Blueberries, Watermelon, Strawberries etc.... We also discovered she loves onion dip.... taking after her Reid side of the family!
*Lindsay is officially a walker, and enjoys taking walks around the courtyard. She likes to be chased, particularly near bath time. Streaking down the hallway is a nightly part of her routine.
*She is still an avid reader; some of her favorite books are: "Good Night Moon", "A Cuddle for Little Duck", any peekaboo flap books, and "Cookie Monster has to Wait". We have been going to story time at the park across from Pepperdine and she has so much fun. They sing songs, read stories and play games. Her attention span is ok for a couple books, but being around the older kids is so great for her.
*Lindsay loves her baby. She pretend feeds her baby a bottle and sippy cup, and shows her baby love with a hug and a pat on the back! She always says, "Awwww" when she gives hugs.
*Dancin' Fool.... my girl LOVES to dance. Anywhere. Anytime. She hears a tune, or a beat for that matter, and her little body starts to wiggle!
*Big Talker Betty Crocker.... She speaks a language we do not understand, but it is peppered with words that we can recognize. She is constantly adding new words to her vocabulary, and her favorite is to point and say, "Whaz Tat?" (What's That?). Last night I overheard her in the bath practicing "Bub Bub" or "Bubbles".
Funny things our 15 month old does:
*Lift up your shirt, poke your belly button and wait for you to laugh.
*Give slobbery kisses.
*While reading any story with any food, say "MMMMmmm Nom Nom." ex. Every night when we read "Goodnight Moon", we turn the page to "Goodnight mush" I hear "Mmmm Nom Nom"!
*Try on any one's "Shoooozzz" (shoes) lying around.
*Biting her crib rails... grrrr. Not so funny.
More photos to come!

Farewell Becca
The Tuesday CBS Lunch Crew! Becca is the most amazing hostess- every Tuesday after CBS we would flood her house with kids, and she most graciously fed us lunch and us ladies talked while the kiddos played. We wanted to get a picture with all kids... Take 1:
Take 2.... A success!
Mother's Day 2011
Happy Mother's Day! We had a wonderful one, spent with our Mom's in Bakersfield.
What is Lindsay laughing at? Grammie Kellie being silly! We made her a stepping stone with her hand prints for the backyard of her new house.

Royal Wedding
I got to thinking about the past few months of studying the Book of Revelation with CBS http://communitybiblestudy.org/ and one of our memory verses kept popping into my head:
PS. If you have never heard of CBS, it is a wonderful bible study class where I have met so many sweet ladies... they are all over find one near you!"Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready." Rev. 19:7
As a former bride, I can attest that there is a LOT one does to get ready for her husband-to-be. I can only guess at the things Ms. Middleton is doing to prepare herself for the big day. Hair. Makeup. Waxing (ouch!). Nails. Skin. Etc... and after we are done, we look and feel like the most beautiful thing on the planet. On the day we meet Jesus, we will be made beautiful outside and more importantly, on the inside too. Through His love, we will be transformed from the inside out, and we will be the most beautiful thing He ever saw.
"Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Rev. 19:8
There is so much speculation on Kate's wedding dress. What will it look like? Who will design it?
As Christians we know our wedding dress will be unimaginably beautiful; more stunning than any earthy dress, because it will be woven with every precious thread of our righteous acts (19:8) and bright white with mercy. And our dress will fit us perfectly, because our master designer is God.
This morning when I was watching the Today Show, one can't help but admire the pageantry of the English royalty- it is legendary. Jewel encrusted carriages, and glittering tiaras, and shiny silver armor of soldiers on horseback. Sigh. I could go on and on. We love the sparkle. I think God knew that, because when he created the Holy City, he pulled out all the stops and used the finest materials.
"Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb. And he carried me away in Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like jasper, clear as crystal. " Rev. 21:9-11
As Christians we have a invitation to THE Royal Wedding of all time. All we have to do is say "I do". My prayer is that you say "Yes" to Jesus today in your heart :)
