Christmas Day 2018

Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas day, and celebrated with the ones we love...
Can we come downstairs yet?!
Grammie spent the night Christmas Eve, and it's a good thing, because these kids woke up EARLY ready to open gifts!
Andrew got a ride-on fire truck from Santa
The girls both got new bikes from Santa...
We had fun opening presents in our PJ's and ate a yummy breakfast of GF Cinnamon Rolls!
Later in the day it warmed up enough to take everyone's new wheels out for a spin....
Merry Christmas and Happy 2019!!

Christmas Eve 2018

We celebrated our Savior's birth with our church family at Stone Hill Church of Princeton...
Merry Christmas, Love the Fishers

Grammie, Lindsay & Madison

Madison volunteered to recite a bible verse at the lighting of the advent candles...
She was so proud to read her verses

She looked so beautiful.. thank you for the dress Nonna!
Christmas Eve 2018 was sweet, with a yummy non-traditional dinner of smoked ribs (thanks Jarrett!), pulled pork, baked beans, 7 layer salad and mac n cheese. Grammie joined us and we had some good eating... which we had for days afterwards!!

 For dessert... Chocolate Lava Cake

Daddy read the "Night Before Christmas", and his lap is getting smaller every year ;)
Santa made it just in time with the gifts, new bikes for the girls and a ride-on fire engine for Andrew.

Lindsay's Kid of Character Award

Right before school got out in December we got a call from the school that Lindsay would be receiving the Kid of Character Award for the month in Responsibility.
Lindsay with her class..Thanks J for drawing a circle

Madison with her class
When they called her name, Lindsay was SO shocked. It was also pajama day and her class Holiday party... it was a super fun day for her!
The teacher put on a super hero cape and she walked on stage...

Madison was cheering her on, and you can tell by the look on her face how proud and excited she was!

Yay Lindsay!
Congrats Linds on being a Ben Franklin Kid of Character!! We love you and are so proud of your hard work at school!!

Angel Girls

Our church, Stone Hill Church of Princeton puts on a wonderful Children's Nativity Play each year, and this year Lindsay expressed an interest in playing a part. The third grade Sunday school class gets first pick because their teacher (Mr. Fred...see man below) teaches it along with his wife ;) Lindsay chose to be an angel this year...

Not to be out shone by her big sister, Madison decided she wanted to be in the production as well... as either a sheep or a singing angel. She ended up choosing to be a singing angel ;)

Madison and her bestie, Molly.

The grand finale:

A huge thank you to Grammie who sewed these darling costumes from a white bed sheet I had on hand!

Here were some fun Christmas things we did in the month of December...
Handsome Boy before his CBS Christmas singing concert.
Andrew age 3
Lindsay had her 3rd grade concert for the school kids and she wanted to wear pearls... such my girl ;)
Lindsay age 8

Madison Grace age 6
She was hammin' it up in front of the camera
Princeton won the league title in football this year and they always have a huge bonfire...
I've got my loves to keep me warm...
It was pretty chilly that night, but we enjoyed hot cocoa from Bent Spoon and visited with Jarrett's coworkers while we watched the fire.
My CBS leaders council group had a yummy brunch... so blessed by these sweet ladies every week ;)
We attended Lindsay's 3rd Grade concert with Grammie and had a lovely dinner at PF Changs to celebrate..yum!
The girls wanted a playdate before we went on break and they were away from their friends for two weeks, and wanted to have a Cookie Decorating Party...
Cookie decorating.."aka eat as many sprinkles as humanly possible"
They also made Christmas ornaments...

Madison and her cute girlfriends
There was a Santa sighting on Royal Oak Road...

The kids had fun waiting for Santa with our neighbor Mikey.

Cookie Exchange 2018

At the beginning of December I throw a Cookie Exchange for our friends and neighbors to kick off the Christmas season....
This year's cookies I chose were Coconut Pecan Macaroons and Chocolate Cherry Cookies... both were GF.
I did a gold, silver and white table setting and had guest bring home made or store bought cookies (some friends are not bakers, but wanted them to join in the fun).
I served lots of festive appetizers and had a hot cocoa bar, plus a champagne cocktail with Pear and Sage. We went through the bubbly pretty fast this year... LOL.

So blessed by these sweet ladies friendship. Such a fun night to get us in the Christmas Spirit!
